Equinox II

Equinox refers to the moment the rays of sun extended indefinitely in all directions, when day and night are approximately equal; Spring Equinox and Autumn Equinox. The contrast of the seasons and light passing between, one waxing one waning. This contrast can be seen between ash and walnut and the rays between create a striking union. Tapered angled walnut legs are stabilized and strengthened by traditional mortise and tenon joinery. The grain matched split ash tops are held firmly together by a kumiko pattern. Designed to be displayed individually or together as one.
